Sticky Messages

A message the bot keeps at the bottom of a channel - the rules of #support, a hint in #suggestions, a link in #looking-for-group. When members write, the bot deletes its last copy and posts it again, so it is always the newest message.

Free Server Premium
How many
3 sticky messages for free, up to 15 with Server Premium. One per channel.
Two sticky messages - a text in #support and an embed in #announcements - and the editor for a new one.

Set one up

  1. Open Dashboard › Sticky Messages and click New sticky.
  2. Pick the channel and write the message - text, an embed or both. The preview shows it as in Discord.
  3. Choose how often it comes back: re-post after N member messages, but at most every N seconds.
  4. Click Save & post. The bot posts it right away and keeps it at the bottom from then on.

How it works

  • The bot counts the members' messages in that channel. After the chosen number (and once the cooldown has passed) it deletes its previous copy and posts the message again.
  • Deleted by a moderator? The next member message brings it back.
  • Switched off - the bot takes its copy down and stops. Switch it on again and it comes back.
  • Post now puts it at the bottom at once, for example after editing the text.
  • Mentions in a sticky message never ping anyone.
What the bot needs
In the channel: View Channel, Send Messages, Manage Messages (to delete its old copy) and, for embeds, Embed Links.
Busy channels
Low numbers keep the message closer to the bottom but make the bot post more often. 5 messages / 30 seconds is a good start; a busy chat takes 15 / 60.
