Let members pick their own roles, and give new members and bots a role the moment they join.
Reaction roles
Free
Build a message with emoji buttons or a dropdown menu. Members click and get the role - with a private confirmation only they can see.
- Open Dashboard › Reaction Roles.
- Write the message or embed - custom and animated server emojis work.
- Add the roles and choose buttons or a dropdown. For dropdowns, set how many roles can be picked.
- Turn on Exclusive for "pick one" groups like region or pronouns.
- Pick a channel and click Send to channel. You can edit the message later.
Limit
3 reaction role messages for free, unlimited with Server Premium.
Auto roles
Free
Under Dashboard › Auto Roles you choose roles for every new member and separate roles for bots.
Membership screening
If your server uses Discord's rules screening, new members get the auto role only after accepting the rules. Never give auto roles admin permissions.
Roles per invite link

Give a role to everyone who joins through a specific invite code.
