Insights

When is your server alive, who keeps it going and do new members actually stay? Insights answers that with charts and numbers - right in the dashboard, no setup needed.

About the screenshots
All pictures on this page show example data from a test server - your own numbers show up in your dashboard.

Free vs. Server Premium

PlanWhat you get
FreeThe last 7 days: the numbers at the top, activity per day and active members per day.
Server Premium30 and 90 days, the comparison with the period before, newcomers who stay, risers of the week, inviter quality, peak times, top and quiet channels, joins and leaves and a CSV export.

This is what a server without Premium sees - 30 and 90 days carry a 👑, and a box at the bottom lists what Premium adds:

Insights on a server without Premium.

Period and totals

Period buttons, CSV export and the six totals.
  • 7 / 30 / 90 days - the period for everything on the page (30 and 90 with Premium).
  • ⬇ CSV - downloads one row per day with messages, voice / stream / camera hours, active members, joins and leaves - opens in Excel or Google Sheets (Premium).
  • Messages - messages in the period.
  • Voice hours / Stream hours / Camera hours - time spent in voice, live on stream and with the camera on.
  • Active members - everyone who wrote or was in voice at least once in the period.
  • Active per day (avg.) - how many members are active on an average day.

With Premium, every total also shows the change against the period before - e.g. ▲ +19.7% vs. the 7 days before.

Activity per day

Messages as bars, voice, stream and camera hours as lines.

The bars are messages (left scale), the lines are voice (blue), stream (purple) and camera hours (yellow, right scale) - the same colours as the categories on the rank card. Hover over a day to see the exact numbers.

Why are there fewer messages than in my channels?
Only messages that earned XP count here, so the XP cooldown applies - ten quick messages in a row are counted like the XP for them, not ten times.

Active members per day

How many members were active each day.

Everyone who wrote or spent time in voice on that day. A falling line over weeks is an early warning - a rising one shows your events and changes are working.

Newcomers who stay

Server Premium
What happened to the members who joined in the last 30 days.
  • Joined - new members in the last 30 days.
  • Wrote or spoke - how many of them became active at all.
  • Still active after a week - members who joined at least a week ago and were still writing or talking a week or more after joining.
  • Left again - how many are already gone.
Needs the invite tracker
Joins come from the invite tracker. If it isn't set up, this box stays empty.

Risers of the week

Server Premium
Members who were more active than the week before.

Members who got more active this week than the week before - great for shout-outs or finding new moderators. Each row shows this week's messages and voice hours, the number in brackets is the week before. "Unknown member" means Booversum has no name stored for them - usually because they left.

Inviter quality

Server Premium
Who brings members that stay - last 30 days.

Lots of invites don't help if nobody stays. This table shows per inviter:

  • Invited - members who joined through them.
  • Became active - how many of those wrote or spoke.
  • Still active after a week - stayed active / joined at least a week ago.
  • Left - already gone again.
  • Quality - the share of invited members who became active.

"Unknown / vanity link" collects joins without a known inviter, e.g. through your vanity URL or server discovery.

Peak times

Server Premium

A heatmap of your week: one row per weekday, one square per hour. The brighter the square, the more was going on. Switch between chat, voice, stream and camera, and between 7, 30 and 90 days - the heatmap has its own period buttons. Times are in your time zone, and the line below names the busiest hour.

Plan around it
Start giveaways, events and announcements when your server is busiest - and pick moderator shifts for the hours that are crowded.

Top and quiet channels

Server Premium
Most active text channels, most used voice channels and quiet channels.
  • Most active text channels - by messages in the period.
  • Most used voice channels - by time spent in them.
  • Quiet text channels - text channels without a single message in the period. Good candidates to clean up or merge.

Joins and leaves

Server Premium
Joins (green) and leaves (red) per day.

Green bars are members who joined, red bars members who left - per day. A spike in joins shows when an invite campaign or partnership worked, a spike in leaves is worth a closer look.

Good to know

  • Peak times, channels and joins/leaves are counted from the day your server got the Insights update - earlier days stay empty there, and a note in the dashboard tells you since when.
  • Nothing here is visible to your members - Insights is only in the dashboard for server admins.
