Tickets

A support system in your server: members click a button and get a private channel with your team. When it's closed, the whole conversation is saved as a transcript.

Free

Setup

  1. Open Dashboard › Tickets › Ticket Settings.
  2. Add a ticket type - for example “Support”, “Report a member” or “Apply”.
  3. Choose a log channel (keep it staff-only) and switch tickets on.
  4. Pick a channel under Panel and click Post panel.
  5. Done - members open tickets from the panel.
What the bot needs
Manage Channels to create the ticket channels, and access to the Discord category you put them in. The invite link on booversum.com already includes everything.

Ticket types

Every type becomes one button on the panel (or one entry in the dropdown). Each type has its own settings:

SettingWhat it does
Name, emoji, colourHow the button looks. Up to 25 types per server.
Short descriptionShown under the name in the dropdown.
Discord categoryWhere the ticket channels are created. Discord allows 50 channels per category.
Staff rolesThese roles see the tickets of this type and can claim them. Members with Manage Server always can.
Welcome messagePosted at the top of every new ticket. Placeholders: {user}, {username}, {category}, {number}, {server}.
QuestionsUp to 5 questions members answer before the ticket opens (short or long answers). The answers are shown in the ticket.

The panel

The message members click. You choose the title, text, colour and whether the types are shown as buttons or a dropdown - the preview shows exactly how it will look. After changing something, click Update panel: the same message is updated in place. Posting it in another channel moves it there.

Inside a ticket

  • Only the member, the type's staff roles and the bot can see the channel.
  • 🙋 Claim - a staff member takes the ticket; everyone sees who's helping.
  • 🔒 Close - the member or the team closes it, with an optional reason. The channel is deleted a few seconds later.
  • A member can have one open ticket at a time - you can raise that to 10.

Transcripts

When a ticket is closed, every message is saved as a transcript:

  • as an HTML file in the log channel, together with a summary (who opened, claimed and closed it, the reason, how long it was open),
  • as a DM to the member (can be switched off),
  • and in the dashboard under Dashboard › Tickets › Ticket Activity - to view or download.
Kept for 180 days
Transcripts are deleted automatically after 180 days. Images in them are links to Discord and can stop working after a while; the text stays.

Ticket Activity

Dashboard › Tickets › Ticket Activity shows what's going on - like Voice Activity for temp voice:

  • Numbers: open tickets, unclaimed ones, the last 24 hours and 7 days, closed tickets and the average time to close.
  • Open tickets, refreshed every 20 seconds - with Open in Discord, Claim and Close right from the dashboard. Closing from here works exactly like the button in Discord, transcript included.
  • The history of all tickets with search (member, type, #number) and the transcripts.

Auto-close

Optionally, tickets without a message for a set number of hours close by themselves - with a transcript, like any other close. 0 means never.
